2026 Midterms

2026 Midterms H-2B Elections HQ

This map tracks the House and Senate races that will affect the future of the support for the H-2B program in Congress.

Each highlighted district or state is a race we are following. If you click on the district / state, it will show you our preferred candidate and the Polymarket odds.

The most important race to the future of the H-2B program and specifically the Certified Seasonal Employer language is the Maine Senate race. Susan Collins is one of our strongest supporters in the Senate and is now, as Chair of the Appropriations Committee, in a position to help get the CSE language across the finish line. Collins has historically overperformed her polling numbers and we expect her to do so again in this race.

According to Polymarket odds, the Democrats are expected to take the House and Senate. This would mean that Senator Whitehouse (D-RI) will be the new Chairman of the Judiciary Committee. Whitehouse is an H-2B program supporter. This is good news as his predecessor, Senator Dick Durbin, was closely aligned with the labor unions.
